I have found that almost any time you fly out on a week day and return on a week day, you will get a better price on your airfare.  The hotels usually don’t change price based on the days of the week you are staying there.  So, if you can leave on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday we will most likely be able to get better prices on your flights.

If planning on traveling around a major holiday such as Christmas or Easter, we will also recommend that the further in advance you can make your reservations, the better the ticket prices normally will be. Having some flexibility helps when planning your trip for the best price but being open to “anything anywhere,” actually makes your vacation specialists job more difficult to help you find exactly what you are looking for. Help us help you, have a date range in mind, a destination in mind and let us know what you like to do while on vacation at an All Inclusive Resort!

Our most popular season for travel and the busiest time of year for Mexico and the Caribbean surrounds the Christmas holiday, from approximately December 20th to January 3rd. The weather is generally still warm and mild in the region during this time and it can often be the easiest to coordinate around work and school schedules making it a great time to travel. However, since this is the busiest time of year for the airlines and hoteliers in the region, it is almost always also the most expensive time to travel with package prices often going as high as double the off-peak season rates.

Package rates start to come out each year around March, but some hoteliers wait until April or even May to release their rates. Typically, the earliest packages that are booked are the least expensive and the closer to departure it gets, the more expensive pricing goes. By the time Labor Day rolls around, we typically have booked the majority of our Christmas travel and while we can and do set up Christmas season trips later in the year than that, usually many hotels and flights are already sold out. So…if you are reading this and thinking of traveling during the Christmas season, call one of our professional travel consultants today to confirm your trip! Our most popular destinations for Christmas travel are Cancun & Riviera Maya, Punta Cana, and Jamaica as all three have good, warm beach weather this time of year and of these have lots of nonstop flight options from major departure cities such as St. Louis, Chicago, and Philadelphia.
