We just returned from our Cancun vacation and we had a wonderful time. Our hotel, the Riu Palace Las Americas was the most beautiful hotel we’ve ever stayed in and our room couldn’t have been more perfect if we had hand picked it ourselves. We overlooked the small infinity pool and had a magnificent view of the ocean. As we said the hotel was gorgeous, the food fabulous, and the staff so friendly and courteous. We had an absolutely prefect DREAM VACATION and a wonderful way to celebrate our 40th anniversary. Thank you so much for all your help for answering our endless questions. Step into a lobby which is beyond extravagant, with great columns rising to hand-painted domes in gold leaf and floral designs, a stained glass ceiling, Edwardian furniture in rich satin, and extraordinary oil paintings. A veritable Cathedral a la glitz with sparkling chandeliers. Stately, but in deco-style with an explosion of colors.
The Riu Palace Las Americas Resort is in Moroccan-Mediterranean architecture, like a giant wedding cake set in Coral Gables, with chaise lounge chairs under canvas umbrellas between banks of hibiscus flowers.
